On November 13, 2014, at around four in the morning, University of Idaho student Dylan Mortensen thought she heard Kaylee Goncalves’ dog playing upstairs. Additionally, she believed Kaylee was playing with her downstairs.

A few minutes later, Mortensen said she overheard her 21-year-old companion say, “There’s someone here.” Mortensen peered outside her bedroom window, but there was nothing there. She heard crying coming from her roommate Xana Kernodle’s bedroom, so she peered out of her door again.

Mortensen claims that when she requested for assistance, a male voice assured her that it was okay.

The third time Mortensen opened her bedroom door, she was greeted by an even more horrifying sight: a man dressed in all black, his mouth and nose covered by a noisy mask that stopped him from breathing. Before she could even respond, he simply ignored her and entered the house through the sliding back glass door. For some minutes following, she was in a state of shock.

Hours later, Mortensen discovered that three of her roommates and one of their partners had been killed.

A document recently made public by the legal system provides more detailed information about the terrible incidents that took place one night in a rental house in Moscow, Idaho. Since the incident, this property has been the focus of a lot of national attention.

According to the affidavit, detectives think the murders took place between 4:00 and 4:25 in the morning.

Police disclosed details about a surviving roommate who had dialed 911 more than a week after the terrible scene came to pass. Although it isn’t specified in the affidavit which roommate called 911, several persons conversed with the dispatcher on one of the roommates’ phones.
The document contains information about the demises of Kohberger, Goncalves, Madison Mogen, and Ethan Chapin. It also includes details on the murder of University of Idaho student Kernodle, age 20. A group of law enforcement officials, including those from the municipal, state, and federal levels, recently carried this out. Koberger, a 28-year-old criminology graduate from Washington State University, was detained at his family’s Pennsylvania home.
