Georgia alleges reality star Stephen Bear uploaded and shared a video of them having sex without her consent

Georgia Harrison, a star of TOWIE and Love Island, has explained to a jury why she renounced her right to anonymity under the Sexual Offenses Act in Stephen Bear’s trial. Georgia, the plaintiff in Bear’s case, claims that he posted a video of them having sex without getting her permission.

The Loughton native Bear, who has been on Celebrity Big Brother, The Challenge, and Ex on the Beach, denies revealing private sexual images or videos and one count of voyeurism. He is charged with releasing a CCTV footage of them having sex in his garden on WhatsApp and OnlyFans, which is said to have occurred in August and November of 2020.

Georgia, who had previously dated Bear after meeting him on The Challenge, testified in court today (December 6) before a jury of nine men and three women. Georgia, who is from Essex, is well-known for her appearances on reality TV programs like Love Island and TOWIE.

Georgia informed the jury today about her decision to forego her automatic right to anonymity under the Sexual Offences Act at an early stage of the criminal investigation. Unless they voluntarily waive it, the act grants automatic lifetime anonymity to sexual crime victims and alleged victims.

Georgia responded to the query with: “It was taken away from me, and because I had no chance of winning, it served no purpose to remove my name from publications. I have received public naming.”

Bear and Georgia engaged in consensual sex in his yard, according to testimony given to the jury previously, and it was captured on CCTV cameras on his property. According to the allegations, Bear sent the video via WhatsApp and afterwards put it to his OnlyFans account in November 2020 in order to monetize it.

Georgia has stated that she never granted Bear permission to distribute the film and that she was unaware that there were cameras in the garden. When she realized Bear had reportedly posted the video on WhatsApp and that it would be considered “revenge porn,” she claims she sobbed uncontrollably. “I told him that it would utterly ruin my life and his profession and that if he distributed it to anyone, it would be revenge porn, and that you can go to jail for revenge porn,” she claimed. “I told him that I would go to the police and that I would go to the police.”

She stated that as she grew more upset about the occurrence, Bear, who had earlier advised her “not to be ridiculous,” grew “more empathetic” and promised she wouldn’t experience anything like again.

Georgia testified in court that she was upset upon discovering the video online and grew even more upset when Bear reportedly denied making the video. Bear stated that he last saw Georgia in Thailand two years before in a video posted on his Instagram account at the time it was making the rounds and aired in court. Bear made an effort to refute her assertion, saying it was “quite evident” in the video that it was her.

Georgia remarked: “It was obviously about me at the time the tape had come to light and was being discussed online and in the media, and he was insisting it wasn’t me. We last met each other two years ago in Thailand [before the 2020 incident]
