Nearby the University of Idaho, Bryan Christopher Kohberger, 28, is a PhD candidate at Washington State University.
According to local Police Chief James Fry, authorities in Pennsylvania have detained a suspect in the stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students who were discovered dead in their beds more than a month ago.
The footage originally baffled law police and rocked the quaint farming village of Moscow, Idaho, which has 25,000 residents and hasn’t experienced a homicide for five years.
Over 11,000 students at the University of Idaho were forced to transfer to online classrooms because of worries about a follow-up attack.
The Pennsylvania State Police detained Bryan Christopher Kohberger, 28, early on Friday morning at a residence in Chestnuthill Township, according to the authorities.
Investigators, according to Latah County Prosecutor Bill Thompson, think Kohberger entered the students’ home “with the intent to commit death.”
