Locals may also see officers from the HCPD and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

It wasn’t immediately obvious what kind of investigation it was.

A Horry County Schools employee was held by Surfside Beach police on Thursday and charged with kidnapping and violence, according to online prison records.

Kimberly D. Bone, 59, of Surfside Beach, is being held on J. Reuben Long Detention in lieu of a $4,000 bond.

According to a Surfside Beach police incident report obtained by News13, the incident happened on Thursday at 310 13th Avenue South. After attempting to remove their dog from their bedroom, Byrne claimed that her housemate physically assaulted her.

Because his roommate allegedly wouldn’t give him her dog back, Byrne allegedly broke into the house. The two women reportedly pulled each other’s hair.
When detectives questioned Byrne about the argument, the complaint claims that she stated that she intended to deport her because the roommate was a “known criminal and drug addict.” Byrne was found to be intoxicated when the police officers questioned him.
