The Sixth District Court’s Judge Yanibet Rivas rendered a decision against Cáceres and the coronel Nez de Aza on Monday, requiring the payment of an RD$100 million financial guarantee required by the contract, home arrest, an electronic grille, and a restriction on leaving the country.

The court granted the defense’s request, and the bar association also asked that the priest be put under house arrest, have his contractually owed $50 million paid, and not be allowed to leave the country. The priest’s son was also given home imprisonment, barred from leaving the country, and had an electronic brazalete installed.

Rossy Guzmán does not have the funds to make the plaintiff’s required advance payment of 5 million pesos under the terms of the court-settled RD$50 million bond, according to Héctor Lopez, the mother and child’s attorney, who joined the defense’s claims.

He also referenced Tanner Flete Guzman, claiming that he is unemployed.
Wilson Camacho, the assistant prosecutor, asserted that the defendants are required to follow the court’s directives in light of the foregoing.
