Texas’s HOUSTON (KTRK) There have been new breakthroughs in the case of a missing 2-year-old after weeks and weeks of searching. Despite intensive searches, Nadia Lee has not been located; nonetheless, her father is now facing a capital murder charge in relation to her passing.

Nadia was last seen around October 16. Police suspect that Jyron Charles Lee, 26, intentionally killed his daughter at that time by inflicting such serious injuries.

Nadia was reported missing by Houston police, and Texas Equusearch volunteers started looking all over the Pasadena apartment building on S. Richey Street where she was last seen. They increased their search to include nearby parks in the weeks that had passed.

Texas EquuSearch’s creator, Tim Miller, stated at the start of the search, “I don’t believe this will result in the favorable end we hope for. One of my greatest worries is that there might not be a conclusion.”

The remains of Nadia have not been found.

In connection with the passing of Nancy Reed, Nadia’s mother, Lee, his common-law wife, was previously charged with murder. Reed, 22, was allegedly strangled by Lee on October 18 at a Clear Lake hotel on Bay Area Boulevard.

Ages 1 and 3 of the couple’s children were present when the murder occurred. They were released to CPS custody unharmed. Five children between the couple, according to family relatives.

Police claimed to have received information about a missing child as part of their investigation into the murder of Reed. It was later discovered that the missing child was Nadia.

Family members informed ABC13 that they were attempting to assist Reed in leaving what they believed to be an abusive domestic partnership. They had little interaction with the kids and were unable to offer any details on Nadia’s absence.
