The five victims of the “horrific” shooting inside a Vaughan highrise have been named as three members of a condo board who had been the subject of a long-running campaign by the assassin, along with two family members.

The dead include Vittorio Panza, 79, Russell Manock, 75, and his wife Helen, 71. Naveed Dada, 59, and Rita Camilleri, 57, who are currently on the condo board, are also among the victims.

The sixth patient, who is currently receiving care at the hospital, has been identified as Doreen Di Nino, the spouse of board member John Di Nino. Doreen is attempting to heal from her injuries and is in “stable condition” outside Sunnybrook Hospital’s emergency room, according to John Di Nino, who spoke to the Star. He added that they “hope and expect a full recovery.”

The deceased were friends, and the board members are volunteers who offer their time to their community. A monument was erected in front of the Bellaria building on Tuesday. The Toronto Maple Leafs, who are from Vaughan, Ontario, have confirmed that Panza was the grandfather of defenceman Victor Mete.
