Roddy Jackson, a rock and roll singer and pianist, gently passed away on December 7, 2022, after battling for weeks following surgery. 80 years of age.

Roddy Jackson’s cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

George Rodrick “Roddy” Jackson, an American singer, songwriter, pianist, and saxophone who specializes in rockabilly and rock & roll, was born on April 9, 1942.

He produced music for Specialty Records in the 1950s.

Born in Fresno, California, Roddy Jackson later relocated to Merced as a young child. His father was a musician and performer, and he played with The Sons of the Pioneers.

When Jackson was 12 years old in 1954, his first band, The Dreamers, made its debut on KYOS. Jackson studied the drums and the piano.

Only Jackson was signed as a solo artist by Blue Note after Bono persuaded the label’s head, Art Rupe, to do so. Even though they weren’t featured on any of Jackson’s songs, The Blue Notes continued to perform with him for a long.
