Paul Daniel Newell Car Accident: Benton County Sheriff’s Office Detective Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Crash
Benton County Sheriff’s Office Detective Paul Daniel Newell was killed in a tragic motorcycle accident.
We are heartbroken to inform you of the passing on Saturday, December 17, 2022, of Detective Paul Daniel Newell of the Benton County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas.
Detective Paul Newell was killed in a motorcycle accident at 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Southeast Walton Boulevard and Southeast Metro Parkway. He was with a group called Wreaths Across America, which sends wreaths to the graves of veterans.
His police motorcycle hit a curb, skidded, lost control, and slammed into an escorted tractor trailer. He passed away from his wounds there and then.
A veteran of the US Army, Detective Newell had worked for the Benton County Sheriff’s Office for 24 years.
