Elijah Beatty, 42, was identified as the victim killed in the airport road shooting

The El Paso County Coroner’s Office has concluded the autopsy and identified the gunshot victim as 42-year-old Elijah Beatty, according to a Colorado Springs Report. The incident occurred on Saturday, December 17.

The Colorado Springs Police Department reported that a shooting occurred on Saturday in the 2500 block of Airport Road, east of Memorial Park (CSPD). The site, according to the police, is an unauthorized nightclub. Beatty was found dead at the scene along with three other people who had been shot when police arrived.

Beatty is the focus of the City of Colorado Springs’ 51st homicide investigation in 2022; the CSPD reports that 43 people were killed at this time last year.
