How did DJ Stevie Splash fare?
On his official Facebook page, Stevie’s longtime buddy Paul Brunt posted a message confirming the news of Stevie’s passing:

A good friend is gone. Former Sheffield Wednesday matchday DJ Steve Evans, often known as Stevie Splash, was active in the 1980s.

When I first started in 1979, he was a fantastic DJ who gave me employment. I learnt so much from him and respected his professionalism as a DJ. He will be recalled by many former football fans, many of whom may have hired him for a private event.

He opened several nightclubs, including Charlie Parker’s, Sinatra’s, in Sheffield, Wakefield, and Bradford. He briefly worked for me in the middle of the 1990s. We Are The Owls, a Sheffield Wednesday song from 1984, is also credited to him. R.I.P Back then, Steve, you were a real legend.
