
Albert Pallone and Camillia Pallone Car Accident: Couple Killed in Car Crash at Cherokee County
Albert and Camillia Pallone of Emerson, Georgia have been identified as the victims of a Saturday night DUI accident in Cherokee County. William Bryan Abernathy of Cartersville, Georgia has been identified as the alleged DUI driver in this incident.
Al Pallone, the 65-year-old mayor of Emerson, and his 69-year-old wife Millie were both fatally hurt in an automobile accident on Saturday night close to Canton. Abernathy, 50, was arrested right afterwards and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
According to reports, around 4 p.m. on Saturday, Abernathy was operating a Chevrolet pickup truck on Knox Bridge Highway in Canton when it crossed the center line and entered the opposing lane.
After then, the vehicle struck Al Pallone’s Hyundai Santa Fe. The impact of the collision caused the Hyundai to roll over, striking a GMC Savana van. The car also struck a Mazda 3.
Abernathy, the Mazda’s driver, and the GMC van’s driver were all transported to nearby hospitals with injuries that weren’t life-threatening.
Al and Millie were pronounced dead from blunt force trauma by medical personnel at the scene.
At the time, Al served as the mayor of Emerson, Georgia.
Charges against Abernathy included driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, first-degree vehicular homicide, and serious injury by automobile.
The accident’s origin is still under investigation.
